The Stromboli Ring – A love story, the character of a volcano

Born from the true story of a chance meeting on Mount Etna, a new creation inspired by the power of Stromboli.

Some pieces of jewelry are born from an idea. Others are born from a true story, a cherished memory, and the desire to make it eternal.

It all began on Mount Etna during a hike, when a young man stumbled over a piece of lava rock and accidentally fell against a young woman. It was an unexpected moment that marked the beginning of their connection—a bond that grew into a love story and, eventually, marriage.

The young man kept that stone, unaware that one day it would become the symbol of their union.

Many years later, now a husband, he came to my workshop with that lava fragment and shared their story, asking me to transform it into a special ring for the woman of his life.

As a goldsmith, I realized that the stone held something truly unique. Using a 3D scan of the original fragment, I used its shape as a mold to create a piece of jewelry that preserved the connection to that special moment.

Thus, the Etna model was born.

But a story can inspire new forms.

A client, deeply attached to Stromboli and captivated by its dark, commanding volcanic cone, expressed a specific wish: he wanted a ring inspired by the Etna model but with an even stronger black presence—one that could evoke the bold character of the Aeolian volcano.

I took his idea and transformed it into a new creation: the Stromboli model.

It is a reinterpretation that preserves the project's emotional roots while expressing a new aesthetic identity—one where the color black takes center stage. A tribute to the power of nature, volcanic matter, and the magnetic allure of the Aeolian Islands.

Available in gold, silver, or platinum, the Stromboli ring combines the artistry of fine jewelry-making with the opportunity to turn a personal wish into a piece with a distinctive character.

Two volcanoes, two interpretations, a single inspiration: transforming the force of nature into a wearable symbol.

The Etna model tells the story of a true origin. The Stromboli model embraces that legacy, reinterpreting it through the profound allure of black.

For a special piece of jewelry does more than just adorn the wearer; it speaks volumes about the person who chooses it.
